Mountainside, New Jersey — July 10, 2025. Netta Architects welcomed Daniel Salazar, AIA, NCARB, as Principal. His appointment strengthens the firm’s leadership in multifamily housing, residential architecture, and mixed-use development. He brings more than 35 years of experience across public and private projects. His work combines design leadership, technical coordination, and an understanding of development priorities.

Leadership for multifamily and mixed-use development

Daniel leads Netta Architects’ growth in the multifamily market, guiding residential and mixed-use projects from early planning through construction. He works with developers, consultants, and project teams to balance the needs of residents with the practical requirements of development.

For example, that work involves decisions about unit layouts, shared amenities, circulation, building performance, and constructability. To guide these decisions, he draws on experience with zoning, density, building systems, and phased development. This helps teams consider the requirements together as a design takes shape.

For clients, this coordination connects early planning decisions with the details needed to carry a project forward. Daniel’s role spans programming, design, construction documents, and construction administration. Through this role, he supports continuity across the firm’s architecture and planning services.

Experience across public and private projects

Beyond housing, Daniel’s background includes hospitality, K–12 and higher education, laboratories, courthouses, and municipal facilities. He also has experience in historic preservation and building envelope restoration. This range gives him experience with different building types, operational needs, and technical constraints.

He also brings experience in consultant coordination, client relationships, and mentoring multidisciplinary design teams. Together, these responsibilities help teams translate a client’s priorities into a coordinated design.

A shared approach to design leadership

“Daniel’s experience and design leadership align perfectly with Netta’s mission of delivering purposeful, high-impact architecture that enhances the communities we serve,” said Nicholas Netta, AIA, President and CEO of Netta Architects. “We are excited to welcome him and look forward to his contributions as we continue expanding our presence and impact throughout the region.”

Daniel’s appointment adds experienced leadership to the firm’s residential practice. He also supports developers, institutions, and private clients as they plan and deliver places to live.
