At Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT), Medford Campus, Netta Architects transformed two existing classrooms into dedicated spaces for video game design and competitive esports. The completed renovation is located at 10 Hawkin Road, Medford, New Jersey 08055, in Burlington County.
The project brings game creation and team-based competition together within the school’s career and technical education environment. It gives the campus a distinct setting for students to study how games work, develop their own ideas, and take part in esports.
From classrooms to game-design studios
Netta’s programming and renovation work created a Video Game Theory studio and an E-Sports Arena studio. Gaming stations, ergonomic seating, and integrated lighting establish an environment for both instruction and competitive play.
Fire-rated glass vision panels along the corridor make the activity inside visible to passing students. That connection gives the program a presence beyond the classroom, bringing digital learning into view within the school.

A space connected to BCIT’s curriculum
BCIT’s official Video Game Design program is offered at its Medford Campus. The four-year pathway includes game development using Unity, 2D and 3D design, animation, storytelling, and sound design. The school also connects the program with its E-Sports Team and Club.
For Netta, the design focus was the relationship between those activities: a learning environment that supports creative work as well as team competition. The completed studios give these complementary parts of the program a dedicated home within the existing school.
