PROJECT SPECS
Status: Completed
Scope: Two-classroom renovation
Use: Game design & esports
Netta Architects completed the programming and renovation of two existing classrooms at Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT), Medford Campus, creating a dedicated Video Game Theory studio and an E-Sports Arena studio.
Located at 10 Hawkin Road, Medford, New Jersey 08055, the project brings instructional space and competitive gaming together within the existing school. The renovation supports BCIT’s Video Game Design program and its E-Sports Team and Club.
Designed for learning and competition
- Two complementary studios: spaces for studying game design and participating in team-based esports.
- Gaming stations and ergonomic seating: work areas for instruction and competitive play.
- Integrated lighting: a distinct visual identity for the gaming environment.
- Corridor visibility: fire-rated glass vision panels that connect the studios visually with the rest of the school.
The design gives a technology-focused program its own identity while making use of existing classroom space. Rather than separating gaming from learning, the studios bring those activities into a shared educational setting.
Connected to the classroom
