Netta Architects designed Rivet 23 as part of the University Place development in Jersey City. The five-story building combines residences and retail around a two-story parking structure, with the occupied building wrapping the parking deck. The upper three floors frame a landscaped central courtyard for residents.
Ground-floor amenities include a fitness center, lounge, and laundry facilities. Brick, fiber-cement, and aluminum panels give the exterior a material palette coordinated with the surrounding development. The courtyard and shared indoor spaces provide places for residents to gather within the mixed-use building.
