Netta Architects was engaged by the Claremont Companies to complete the design of Rivet 26, a five-story mixed-use residential building within University Place in Jersey City’s west end. The building provides 199 apartments and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor amenities and retail. It forms part of the University Place redevelopment undertaken by Claremont and the Hampshire Companies in conjunction with New Jersey City University.
Shared spaces extend from the building’s interiors to an elevated, 10,000-square-foot roof terrace with a sundeck, lounge seating, gaming areas, and grilling stations. An adjoining indoor lounge, cyber café, fitness center, yoga studio, and pet care center support everyday residential life. The arrangement brings apartments, shared amenities, and street-level retail together within one building.
